Sandpipers fly thousands of miles from central Asia and Siberia each summer and some winter over in New Zealand. Sandpiper’s estuary is a favourite spot for them to spend their time while in New Zealand.
Sue and Bruce Wells have also travelled extensively and have now joined the Sandpipers as they too have found the perfect place to live.
